If you live in the Midwest then you know winter has finally arrived. After a mild first two weeks in January, two snow storms have graced the UW campus in just about as many days with another snow event on the way. Additionally, the temperatures are hovering below zero-and those are the daytime highs.
As a writer who is also the director of the Writers’ Institute, I am declaring these days as perfect days to continue to WRITE. There are no pleasant sunny day distractions and the National Weather Service continues to post warnings for snow and frostbite every other day.
Stay in. Keep writing. Imagine when April arrives and as the earth is emerging from all this cold, so will we.
