Registration for our full conference is $345 before March 5, 2019 and $395 after March 5. This fee includes instruction, morning continental breakfast Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and Sunday coffee/tea.
If you wish to attend on Thursday & Friday ONLY, the fee is $275 before March 5, 2019, and $295 after March 5. If you wish to attend on Saturday & Sunday ONLY, the fee is $265 before March 5, 2019, and $285 after March 5.
Fees also include instruction, emailed PDF of conference handouts, morning continental breakfast Thursday/Friday/Saturday, and Sunday coffee/tea. You will receive your PDF of the conference the week of April 1. Please be sure to make copies or download the conference handouts before attending the event. NO COPIES OF THE HANDOUTS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SITE AT THE CONFERENCE.
Pitches, practice pitch sessions, and Poem or Page Contest. The Pitch Clinic and Master Classes, Agent/Edtior Q & A sessions, Writing Doctor sessions, and Right Here, Write Now sessions are extra and detailed here.
Fees for the Master Classes are $95. These sessions are limited. Be sure to register before March 5 to attend these sessions.

New attendees are eligible to receive a free critique if you register for Writers’ Institute between January 9 and February 8, 2019. If you or someone you know have not attended the conference before, you will automatically qualify for this offer upon registration.
This offer includes a complimentary 3-page critique from UW–Madison Continuing Studies Writing Department faculty members Christine DeSmet or Laurie Scheer during the weeks leading up to the conference. Your complimentary critique prepares you for your Master Class, pitches, advanced critiques, and our Right Here, Write Now 30-minute critiques to be held at the conference.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration for the 2019 Writers’ Institute closes online and via phone on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 by 4pm Central Time, and at midnight Central Time. Don’t worry; you can still register in person and walk-in at the Registration desk at the Madison Concourse Hotel on Thursday, April 4, 7:30am to 7pm; Friday, April 5, 7:30am until 7pm; and again, on Saturday, April 6, 7:30am until noon.
Changes to agent pitches and practice pitches will be available during the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday registration times also.
No refunds will be provided for Conference Extras (such as agent pitches, practice pitches, Master Classes, etc.) that are dropped or canceled after April 2, 2019.
