COVID-19 updates: Writers’ Institute is postponed. There will be updated information about rescheduled dates coming soon.
Dear Writers’ Institute Writing Community,
We are looking forward to this year’s Writers’ Institute to be held March 26-29 at the Madison Concourse Hotel here in downtown Madison.
Rest assured that the UW-Madison Division of Continuing Studies is being vigilant regarding the latest information from the CDC and the current COVID-19 outbreak. We are also working with University and state of Wisconsin departments to assure your utmost safety during this time.
Additionally, the manager of the Concourse Hotel has forwarded this statement:
“We are adding enhanced hand sanitizing options on all meal and break tables for guests, along with other points of person to person contact (front desk/Starbucks/elevators). The housekeeping team has increased its disinfecting of hard and soft surfaces on their rounds as well and we will continue to monitor the situation as this unfolds.”
As of today, we see no need to cancel our conference. We hope you will join us for our weekend of enlightening and inspiring sessions and networking. This year we will promote gentle nods and smiles rather than handshakes and hugs.
Let’s escape the stress and dig deep into our writing. Should there be any changes in the status of the conference we will contact you as soon as possible.
Thank you for being part of our Writing Community. Stay well and we’ll see you the weekend of March 26-29 here in Madison.
