Jeffrey Kurz is a producer, writer, and former studio executive. During his eight-year tenure at Miramax Films, he was involved in such varied and diverse films as Neil Jordan’s Academy Award-winning The Crying Game, Alex Proyas’ The Crow, Atom Egoyan’s Exotica, Guillermo del Toro’s Mimic, Chris Eyre’s Smoke Signals, and John Carpenter’s Halloween series. And he has worked with a wide range of talented filmmakers and writers — from Bryan Singer and the Wayans Brothers to Clive Barker and Wes Craven.
Recently produced films include: Popper Baxton’s Sickly Stew, a feature film to be released in early 2018; The Vivian Maier Mystery for the BBC and FilmBuff; Water, Ice, Snow, featuring New York photographer and educator Sasha Sicurella; and Healing Hearts, a chronicle of a camp for children of fallen service members. Current projects in development include An Ocean Apart for Film4 in London.
